Abstract

The hydrocarbon reservoirs of Te Giac Trang field lie in the low-resistivity sediments with complicated geological features. The main reservoir formations are thin interbedded sand layers with multiple oil-water contacts, making monitoring and management of production activities in intervals very challenging. A combination of advanced wireline logging tools consisting of PL/CHFR/RST (Production Log/Cased Hole Formation Resistivity/Reservoir Saturation Tool) have, therefore, been used for effective production monitoring and reservoir management in the field.
