Optimising inventories for maintainance and repair of thermal power plants
Abstract
Thermal power plants have to maintain a large inventory for operation, maintenance and repair in order to meet the requirements to ensure the best availability and reliability. The value of the supplies inventory in thermal power plants is often very large that leads to impact on the cost of production and business, therefore it is important to optimise inventories. This article proposes some orientations for optimising inventory levels that help thermal power plants reduce operational and maintenance costs and improve their business efficiency.
