Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

1. Articles should be presented in the following format:
- Title of the article
- Full name and academic title of the author, name of employer organisation, contact telephone number and mailing address.
- Summary of the article in English, from 100 - 200 words,
- Key words
- The article should be no longer than 15 A4 pages, inclusive of pictures and appendixes.
- References are placed right after the article's conclusion and presented in the following order: serial number of reference documents, name of author(s), publication year, title of the article (book or scientific report), title of the document, code (in case of an article and book) or name of conference or seminar, date and venue of the conference or seminar (in case of scientific report), publisher. From page ... to page ...(if possible).

2. The artical can be submitted directly on the website of Petrovietnam Journal at http://pvj.com.vn/index.php/TCDK/submission/wizard or send the manuscript via email: tcdk@pvn.vn

- Articles summitted to the Petrovietnam Journal are reviewed, edited and published in accordance with Articles 13 and 14 of the Regulation on organization and operation of the Petrovietnam Journal (Decision No. 6479 / QD-DKVN on 23rd October, 2018 issued by Vietnam Oil and Gas Group)

+ To ensure transparency and ethics in scientific research, articles submitted will be reviewed with anti-plagiarism software such as Plagiarism Checker, Small SEO Tool, DoIT ...

+ Petrovietnam Journal applied blind peer review (reviewers and authors did not know about each other). The article will be read, commented by at least 2 independent reviewers.

- Authors who have their articles published in the Petrovietnam Journal will receive a lump-sum royalty for the article he/she contributes

Plagiarism Detection and Handling Policy:

All submitted papers may be checked for plagiarism using specialized plagiarism checking software (such as Turnitin or similar tools).

Plagiarism is understood to include, but is not limited to:

- Copying verbatim or nearly verbatim, the content of others without proper attribution;
- Self-plagiarism (significantly reusing published content without disclosure);
- Reinterpreting the content of others without citing the source;
- Copying data, images, tables, maps, or models without permission or attribution.

Papers with a high rate of plagiarism or signs of plagiarism will be:

- Immediately rejected during the pre-selection phase;
- Or, the article may be withdrawn if discovered after publication.

Withdrawal Policy:

The journal will withdraw published articles in the following cases:

- Discovery of plagiarism, academic fraud, or serious breaches of research ethics;
- Fabricated, manipulated, or unverifiable data;
- Serious errors in methodology, analysis, or conclusions that distort the scientific nature of the research;
- Copyright or intellectual property infringement;
- Serious undisclosed conflicts of interest.

Conflict of Interest Policy:

Authors, reviewers, and editors are responsible for fully disclosing any conflicts of interest (financial, professional, academic, or personal) that may affect the objectivity of the article.

In cases where conflicts of interest are not disclosed or are misrepresented:

- The article may be rejected or withdrawn; the review process may be canceled or re-conducted.
- Editors have the right to change their reviewers or withdraw from the article processing if a conflict of interest exists.

Copyright and Publication Rights:

The journal does not accept articles that:

- Infringe on third-party copyrights;
- Have been published or are under review at another journal/publisher (unless explicitly agreed).

Authors must ensure:

- The article is original research;
- Have legal rights to all content, data, images, maps, and appendices;
- Have obtained written consent from co-authors (if any).

After acceptance for publication, the author agrees to transfer the publication rights to the journal in accordance with current regulations, while retaining authorship rights to the work.

Policy on Scientific Fraud:

The journal resolutely rejects the following acts:

- Falsifying, distorting, or concealing research data;
- Misleading citations, non-existent citations, or citations intended to manipulate results;
- Abusing artificial intelligence (AI) in the content of articles or research papers (AI use must be clearly stated in the article);
- Fabricating peer reviews, impersonating scholars;
- Manipulating the Review or publish process.

Instructions for reviewers

The reviewers are selected from the Journal database or other sources by the editors. Once selected, the reviewer will receive an automatic notification message to request confirmation through the e-mail address. The notification message sent to the reviewer includes the title and abstract of the manuscript.

The reviewer should login the online system and click on the box to whether agree or not for reviewing the manuscript. If the reviewer click on the agree box, he will receive the full text of the manuscript. Please download and read carefully the instruction for Online Submission of Peer-Review Report.

Privacy Statement

The names and email addresses entered in this journal site will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of this journal and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party.
